Royal Visitors to La Seigneuire Gardens
On Friday 20th July 2012 Prince Charles and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall enjoyed a walk around La Seigneurie Gardens as part of a brief visit to Sark. The couple arrived by helicopter and were greeted by local school children at the Island Hall. They then met members of Sark's British Legion as well as the island's Conseillors before a carriage drive to La Seigneurie. After a private tour of the newly renovated house, Charles and Camilla were shown around the Gardens by trust director Charles Maitland and his wife Wend and were also introduced to our gardeners. The couple returned to the Island Hall by carriage where they met members of Sark's Emergency Services as well as chatting to Diana Beaumont before flying off to continue their tour of the Channel Islands in Alderney.
